Total Oil

Corporate Moves first worked with Total Oil, planning and managing its 1998 move from central London to Watford. This evolved into a multi-stage assignment, as the dynamic international company grew rapidly through acquisition, first of Fina and then of Elf.

In the London office, we planned and managed a rolling programme of relocation, designed to follow an extensive refurbishment programme driven by corporate change. Our work involved moving staff between floors and in and out of an adjacent building in order to clear space for the improvement works. One big challenge came in the form of Total's trading operation, which had to remain fully functional throughout the entire process.

Each of the steps in Total's development brought with it a need to move people - and a requirement for considerable sensitivity to avoid 'move fatigue' setting in amongst affected employees. Based on an appreciation of corporate culture and our ability to respond flexibly, we have established close working relationships, enabling us to meet our client's needs successfully in a rapidly changing business environment.
